Trazodone Taper, Part 9

Last weekend I dropped my trazodone down to 25 mg from 50 mg. I've had headaches on and off since Monday, so that's not good, but next weekend I'm stopping it entirely, so we'll see how that goes. It's funny how some cuts I've not noticed anything in the way of symptoms, and others I've had headaches for a week after.

The stuff isn't doing anything to help me sleep anymore, which isn't surprising, considering that 50 mg never did much for me, either. I forgot to take my Benadryl the other night, and didn't feel anything from the 25 mg of trazodone after I took it. So one more week on trazodone and then I'll be done with it.

I think I should get Bonus Points, don't you? And not just for the trazodone thing, but for policing that slumber party last night. Bonus Points...redeemable for all kinds of cool prizes. I keep telling The Chief I want a Rewards Program of some sort, but he just laughs and pats my head. Sigh.

Writing Prompt: You are stranded alone on a deserted island for an extended period of time. Food and water are plentiful. What five things would you absolutely have to have with you in order to remain sane?

Snorkeling gear (mask, fins, snorkel), a mosquito net, and my duvet.

Jazz, You bet you deserve bonus points! Good for you in coming of Trazodone. I hope you do well with sleeping. Take care. Annie

Aqua--
I never thought of snorkeling gear...but what else would one do a deserted island! I think I would take a supply of notebooks and pens, my guitar, my embroidery workbox, and a tent. I would have to have stuff to keep me busy or I would go nuts! Er...more nuts...

Annie--
Thanks for your support! It turns out it was a good decision to stop taking the stuff...I have more clarity and motivation since I've cut down the dose so dramatically. And more energy, it seems (though not the hypomanic sort).

How about: my dog, a big fishing net, a hammock, the biggest, hardest sudoku book ever, and a painting set (surely there would be some rocks to paint on).

Oooh, a hammock...yeah, I've always wanted a hammock...none of the trees in my yard are big enough for one--yet! I keep telling hubby to hurry up and finish the deck he's building because I really want one of those hammock swings to put underneath it.

Painting rocks sounds cool, too...I used to do that when I was a kid...haven't thought of that in years...hmm, I think I feel another art adventure coming on!

I'd want my dogs, too.
