Okay, You Guys Can Have a Writing Prompt

Writing Prompt: What fictional character would you most like to have as a friend and why? This doesn't have to be a literary character, it could be from a movie or a comic book, or even for you writers out there, a character of your own design.

I would like to have Falkor the "Luck" dragon from the movie "The NeverEnding Story" as my friend. When life gets too much I could fly away with the mystical creature and soar high over hill tops away from everyone and into my own little world, away from the bad memories, somewhere magical a place so serene that all the bad memories would not be welcome here, where they can't follow me, and I can be myself and reach out to my inner child, and let her ride on my luck dragon, so that she can feel the calm and feel safe. To be able to dream freely, without having nightmares, without being afraid..Just to be free......Mary

As a child, Ramona (Beverly Cleary) always seemed like she'd be a cool friend to have. Now, I'm not sure . . . hmmm. I'll have to ponder that one for awhile . . .

Oh, I'd love to have Falkor for a friend too! Isn't he the most awesome friend and protector sort? I love that movie so much!

When I was little, Ramona would have been my first choice, too. I loved the Ramona books, and I always wished I had a sister like her. Now, I'm not so sure...there are a lot of characters I like for a lot of different reasons...I'll have to think about this one, too!
